I didn’t know the Healer ‘til I needed healing I didn’t need a Savior or some kind of anchor ‘til I lost my way and I didn’t know the Father ‘Til I felt like an orphan I didn’t need a river, a gracious forgiver ‘til my soul was stained You took my hurting and gave it purpose thank God for the anger that forced me to pray thank God for the silence that taught me to wait If He spared me from breaking and God knows I did then I never would’ve ever known how good God is I never would’ve ever known how good God is!
When I look back, I can see that it's You who met my needs every time every moment, You were holding even the smallest details of my life and I can testify oh, You never let me down so I know You won't stop now I may not know what tomorrow holds but I know one thing for sure Good Lord, I got a good Lord every day, every step of the way, it's You who opened the door Good Lord, I got a good Lord!
Wandering into the night wanting a place to hide this weary soul this bag of bones and I try with all my might but I just can't win the fight I'm slowly drifting a vagabond And just when I ran out of road I met a man I didn't know and He told me that I was not alone He picked me up, He turned me around He placed my feet on solid ground I thank the Master, I thank the Savior because He healed my heart, He changed my name forever free, I'm not the same I thank the Master, I thank the Savior I thank God!
