Albert Einstein is known for saying, “Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.” He also was recorded saying, "I am against any nationalism, even in the guise of mere patriotism. Privileges based on position and property have always seemed to me unjust and pernicious, as did any exaggerated personality cult."  On an episode of Touched By an Angel, they did a show on his life and portrayed how when he was older and dying that he regretted some of his work which helped to lead to the Nuclear Bomb being built and then used in Hiroshima.  He felt that science and how it is used can be used in the wrong way to hurt humanity. Today where we live we see so many people from so many countries living here in the USA, we are a true melting pot here, even here in South Florida where I live. So many are proud to be from their countries and put their flags on their cars or face masks, etc. I do agree with Einstein that while it is nice to be proud of where we come from, it is more important to have God in your heart and to live more like Jesus Christ did when He was here on Earth with us. No one is better because of their nationality, race, or level of education or social position of power they hold. It is childish and infantile to think that just because you have a Ph.D., or come from a certain country, or are a manager or administrator or president that you are above others.  God has made all of us equal and is equally available to all of us all the time. He wants to be in our lives. Do you have The Christ in you? Listen to this recent song by Casting Drowns, Only Jesus, the words will blow you away, this is what we need to live for.  Are you experiencing all the miracles of God everyday by allowing Him into your life? Instead of all of us being so patriotic to our country, maybe we need to be more spiritual and religious to our God. Only put God on a pedestal, no people or countries or titles. God is the miracle waiting to happen to all of us if we let Him into our hearts!
