A Real Miracle in Living in This Day and Age is Being Authentic to Yourself and Others, but Most Importantly God!

 

I love all these quotes about authenticity! I often see on a daily basis so many fake, phony, pretentious, and insincere people out and about and where I live. People today like to put on a lot of airs, sure a lot of it is insecurities and that is why they do it, but it has become so commonplace today in our society. It is hard to find truly authentic people.  We have become a selfish and irresponsible society as well, thinking only of ourselves and not our neighbors, friends, and family. Actions always speak greater volumes than words ultimately. Hypocrisy is another form of a lack in authenticity. So many people say things, but do not follow through and do just the opposite, being hypocrites. It is nice when you can meet with, talk to, and interact with friends, family, coworkers, and even strangers when you have a truly authentic relationship and can truly be yourself.  It seems like it has become the norm that so many people either are putting on airs to get attention or are insecure and doing things just to try to get your attention in public.  When we lived in our other community we noticed that most of the people that lived there were very fake, phony, selfish, and pretentious, almost devoid of God. It was not really full of positive energy to live where most people are putting on airs, not being themselves, and devoid of God or spirituality. None of us are perfect. Only God is! It really is a miracle from God when we meet and have people in our lives who are truly authentic. Just be yourself! No airs, no pretension, no insecurity,  or seeking attention for your ego or insecurities. God just wants us to come to Him with authenticity! When you are true to yourself and God, you never have to be true to anyone else, this is authenticity. We only need God's approval, no need to put on airs or be anyone other than who God made you to be!
