God Sees Our Hearts! Be Esteemed, A Person of Good Will and Honor! Material Possessions Do Not Make Us!

A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.

-Proverbs 22:1

I saw this nice Bible verse and prayer from Joel Osteen recently and really loved it! I thought it was a nice message to always keep in mind. So many are so enamored with becoming rich, having so much money, luxury cars, to live in fancy beachside condos, so many today want to be pretentious and presumptuous and act like they are more than they really are, many even with little education or no college or real profession. People put their names in jeopardy, are known to be greedy, corrupt, committing fraud, ignoring others and doing a mediocre job in all they do, just to pretend and help to compensate for their insecurities and personal lack inside. They think all the gold, silver, Mercedes or Porches can help to compensate for their real insecurities and lack of education. They lose their good name for all the riches, but in the Bible it says it is better to keep a good name for yourself than to have all the riches, it is better to be esteemed and secure with yourself, to know you are a person of honor and good will. I have noticed over the years most people today in leadership positions are bullies, cowards, and ignorant. They are not people of honor or good will. They sell their souls to the devil to get more material goods or make themselves look even better. Where is your heart? Do you have a life of integrity? Does God see you as a person of good will and honor? A Mercedes Benz or Porches do not make a person, nor does all the money, gold or silver!

A Prayer for Our Hearts

“Father, thank You that You are not limited to seeing me as other people see me. Thank You that You see my heart, and You know my faithfulness to You. Help me to live a life of integrity. I want my life to stand out as one who brings You praise. In Jesus Name, Amen.”
