Blessed By Having Christ in My Heart! So Much More than Money Can Buy!

Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich,
         When the glory of his house is increased;
For when he dies he will carry nothing away;
         His glory will not descend after him.
Though while he lives he congratulates himself—
         And though men praise you when you do well for yourself—
He shall go to the generation of his fathers;
         They will never see the light.
Man in his pomp, yet without understanding,
         Is like the beasts that perish.

-Psalm 49:16-20

16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, 19 Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 20 The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 22 When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

23 And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” 26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” 27 Then Peter said in reply, “See, we have left everything and followed you. What then will we have?” 28 Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, in the new world,2 when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold3 and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

-Matthew 19:16–30

The above two Bible verses say it all! All the rest here are alike, we should not love money or idolize it at all! Our first and only love should be to our God in Jesus Christ! Jesus is all that matters, remember the first commandment! Unfortunately, so many forget about all of this. We live in crazy times, materialistic and love of money times, to the point where people will cheat, steal, do corrupt, fraudulent, and dishonest things to get more money, even if they have to swindle others. We see our elected today doing so many evil and wicked things, they are corrupt, evil, greedy, selfish and all become rich in the process of raping the good citizens. They forget about their reputations, legacies, and any ethics or morals. They think they can take their wealth with them. They cheat like with the case of elected voting and using insider trading to make tons of money like what has been in the news, why do they need millions and billions? They will never be able to use it all, they cannot take it with them, and yet they risk their reputations and legacies by becoming consumed with wealth, power, greed, corruption, fraud, just overall wanting more and more, for what? It is sad to see this in our elected today, our so called leaders, politicians, millionaires, and billionaires, they just cannot stop trying to accumulate more and more, for what? Greed? Selfishness? Do they have Jesus? Did they forget there is a God? They have to answer to their maker?  Recall what it says about people who try to accumulate a lot of wealth above. Don't be a slave to satan and chase after money, the devil loves to tempt you, don't risk it!  We are more blessed when we have Christ in us, when we are filled with the Holy Spirit, when we have God! Take God over money and materialism! Chasing money will never fulfill your heart like Jesus Christ does! Remember what Jesus said above!  We are so much better off and blessed when we have Jesus in our lives!

Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.

-1 Timothy 6:9

Whoever loves money never has enough;
whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with their income.
This too is meaningless.

-Ecclesiastes 5:10

Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”

-Luke 12:15

Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

-1 Timothy 6:17

Do not love the world nor the things in the world If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life is not from the Father but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

-1 John 2:15–17
