Asking God to Grant Me the Serenity in Jesus Name!

God, grant me the Serenity

To accept the things I cannot change...

Courage to change the things I can,

And Wisdom to know the difference. 

I have always loved this prayer! It has been around a long time! Very common Catholic prayer. I am reminded of this often in the days we now live in. We live in crazy times. No logic, no law and order, a lot of selfishness, and evil in this world. So much ago and envy. So many bad elected and so called leaders who are greedy, corrupt, fraudulent, and mediocre. Getting caught up in the things of this world can really get you down. We are not of this world. We need to do the best we can and not let it drag us down or get us blue. All we can do is accept things that are out of our control. Change things we can, and just try to know the difference and apply such wisdom so to not let it all get us down. We can only do so much! We need to try to remain joyful, happy, and peace and not let things of this crazy world get us down. Put it all in the hands of God! Jesus I trust in You!

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will.
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
