The Truth Always Wears a Crown of Thorns! Truth is a Blessing that Hurts Often, But is Needed like God and the Love of Jesus Christ!

I am reading a book now, Day by Day with Saint Faustina, it has many prayers and citations from St. Faustina. I liked this one today about truth. It does seem like it is so true!  She is the one that brought out the Divine Mercy Prayer from her interactions with Jesus Christ.  One important saying from the Divine Mercy Rosary and St. Faustina is, Jesus I Trust in You!. I love the image too, which I will try to include here. This quote is particularly critical today. As Christians, we often have to deal with being persecuted for standing up for our faith. Even if we mention Jesus, God, or saying we are praying for others. Many today do not like this, the woke of today do not like you talking about God or religion. It is a sad reality, a crown of thorns we often have to wear when we talk about God or Jesus. Today most want everything sugarcoated, they want it all with compassion, mercy, and no sacrifice, work, or thorns, they do not want thorns or the truth often today. We see in our news, so much fake news, or slanted, one sided, or half-truths. People personal holiness is absolutely impossible without Jesus unfortunately. We see our governments, elected, and powers that be who are in charge, lie, deceive, and even hurt its people they represent. Freedom and truth are less and less it seems, and if there is truth, that person had to experience thorns unfortunately to shed it like Jesus Christ did. Holiness and being upright is not for wimps. Today we see more who think it is okay to break rules and laws, hurt others, control others, and do what they want with no regard for others or God. It is sad to see. We do need to stand up for our principles and have integrity nonetheless. Do the best we can in a broken fractured, hurting world that tries to live without God or a faith or trust in Jesus. All we can do is pray and know when we speak the truth, it is not always easy, we do often wear a crown of thorns too like Jesus did. Jesus and this world are both competing for our souls. Sometimes the truth hurts!  Who will you give your soul to? I will stick with Jesus and His truth and side with Him, not the people or things of this world!
