Trust Him, Honor Him, He is Within Us! Approved By and Following Jesus Alone!

The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here.”

-Luke 4:9

Validation that the devil is lurking, it is all over the place each day for us today! We so so many times when we are tempted, trapped, called to fight with the enemy and take his bait! But we need not to, God has this. Give it all over to Jesus, Jesus was tempted too recall, we need to be careful. The devil is always lurking. Joel Osteen sent a nice email today, a good reminder with a Bible verse, write-up, and prayer for all of us to put our trust in the Lord always! Joel Osteen said, "the enemy wanted Jesus to show how powerful He really was, to impress the people at the temple. But Jesus wouldn’t use His power for the wrong motives, just to bring attention to Himself. Before He was crucified, He said, “I could have called ten thousand angels to save Me, but I’m not living to prove who I am. I’m living to fulfill My purpose.” When your motives are right, and you need favor, you need a breakthrough, God will step in and make things happen that you couldn’t make happen. One thing that Jesus was showing us is that you don’t need people’s validation. You may have the power or talent or funds to prove something, to impress, or to get even, but you realize it’s a distraction from your purpose. You have to be determined. “I am not going to give in to the temptation to prove, to compete, to outperform, to show people that I’m strong enough, smart enough, or talented enough. I have nothing to prove because I am a child of God.”"

We only needs God's approval! We already have it! Trust Him, honor Him, He is within us!

A Prayer for Today by Joel Osteen

“Father, thank You that You have given me everything I need to fulfill my purpose. Thank You that I am enough because You made me just as I am, and I have Your approval. I believe and declare that I am talented enough, I am smart enough, and I am strong enough. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
