Setting My Heart Inordinately Upon Jesus!

 

Whatever we have over-loved, idolized, and leaned upon, God has from time to time broken it, and made us to see the vanity of it. So that we find the readiest course to be rid of our comforts is to set our hearts inordinately upon them!

Vanity of vanities, all here on Earth is vanity! We need to stop being so consumed by this world, this Earth School, pick up our cross and follow Jesus, nothing on this Earth as important in our lives than to follow Jesus, to receive Him, to live by His teachings, to know Him, to love Him, and know that our home is in Heaven for eternity with Him when we leave this Earth School! There is nothing on this Earth, even family, like the disciples, they were asked to leave their families and follow Jesus, He asks this of us. We see this as adults in our families and loved ones, we are all called to follow Him. To make Him our number one priority, to get into Heaven to spend eternity with Him! God is in control, His will be done in our lives is what is our purpose and plan, we need to stop trying so hard and just follow Him! He will keep knocking on your door until you do!
