Believing in the Messiah and the Beauty in All of God's Creations!

They in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath.

- Luke 4:28

My Mornings With God App had a nice Bible verse, write-up, and prayer today. I thought I would share it. It really resonated with me. A friend of mine recently went back to our home town last weekend and felt all was crumbling there, it is not the same as we remember, so much abuse of marijuana. My Godmother told me the same thing recently. Sometimes it is hard to go back. Thank goodness for memories and wonderful past experiences and childhoods. I am blessed to have loving parents, real blessings, they brought us to church each week and taught us to know God and His son Jesus. A real blessing, our Messiah, we really do need to look for the good in all God's creations!

The App this morning said, "Some people are never willing to see the good there is in others, nor to give them the honor to which they are entitled. This was the trouble with the people of Nazareth. Jesus had grown up among them. In a village all one’s life is open to everybody. Some boys and young men commit indiscretions in their early years, which are remembered against them when they are older. But there was nothing in the young days of Jesus, which could be recalled to shame him. He had lived so beautifully, so sweetly, so lovingly, that no one could say anything against Him. By and by He came back to visit His old neighbors. Everybody was talking about Him, and the fame of His life and work had been heard in His old town. But His former neighbors would not see in Him the things others saw in Him. They would not believe that He was the Messiah. Many people show the same spirit in these days. They refuse to see anything beautiful or good in others."

What a blessing to keep this all in mind. We see this today, even the hypocrisy from the church and priests, elected, and so called leaders. The Bible verse above reminds me of our recent interaction with our old priest at our old church recently who saw us at the gym, we hadn't gone to that church in 5-6 months, we decided to go to one closer to our house we tried around Easter time, the priest there was loving, kind, and looked us in the eye and shook our hand. The old priest would never look at us, he even avoided us at church or in the gym, would have nothing to do with us, then he wondered why we didn't go there anymore and was bothered when we told him we switched to a more loving and welcoming church, we had to experience his wrath as he seemed angry we switched, what were we supposed to do, just tolerate his mediocrity and bad treatment?  We need to have hope and look for the beauty in all! We learn from all experiences. We are not always going to be accepted or treated well, even going back to our own homeland and family, sometimes is not always welcoming either. Humans will disappoint, but God never will, our trust in Him is what can sustain us on this Earth School. We must have hope, faith, and find refuge in our Lord, that is all we can do! Look for His beauty in all in life!
