Our God is a God of Salvation! Suffering to Be with Jesus in Heaven! Our Flesh Here only Leads to Death!

 

Brothers and sisters,

we are not debtors to the flesh,

to live according to the flesh.

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die,

but if by the spirit you put to death the deeds of the body,

you will live.

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear,

but you received a spirit of adoption,

through which we cry, "Abba, Father!"

The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit

that we are children of God,

and if children, then heirs,

heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ,

if only we suffer with him

so that we may also be glorified with him.

~Romans 8:12-17

I saw this Bible verse today as I read the mass reading each day. I liked this one as it resonates with me about our lives on this Earth School. We are to live in Spirit. Not of this world, not focusing on flesh, carnal, our egos, vanity, and material desires, but of something more Heavenly with God and to live in Spirit! God is our salvation when we live in Spirit, we all must carry our own cross like Jesus, deny ourselves and follow Him. There may be sorrows in this life, but in Heaven with Jesus it will all be worth it to live for Him. Today we live in a world of hate, anger, cancel culture, and a lot of negativity. People are so full of hate, it is hard to understand it all. We cannot fall for that hate and negativity. We must rejoice in the Lord, be positive, loving, and hopeful. When we live only in the flesh it leads to death. If we live in Spirit we know we have a future in Heaven with Jesus, this has to be our goal to get through this Earth School of life!
