Rich in Christ Jesus, That is What Matters in this Earth School World: So Glad God Knows My Heart!

Jesus Christ became poor although he was rich,
so that by his poverty you might become rich.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.

~2 Corinthians 8:9

Jesus said to his disciples:
"I tell you, make friends for yourselves with dishonest wealth,
so that when it fails, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.
The person who is trustworthy in very small matters
is also trustworthy in great ones;
and the person who is dishonest in very small matters
is also dishonest in great ones.
If, therefore, you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth,
who will trust you with true wealth?
If you are not trustworthy with what belongs to another,
who will give you what is yours?
No servant can serve two masters.
He will either hate one and love the other,
or be devoted to one and despise the other.
You cannot serve God and mammon."
The Pharisees, who loved money,
heard all these things and sneered at him.
And he said to them,
"You justify yourselves in the sight of others,
but God knows your hearts;
for what is of human esteem is an abomination in the sight of God."

~Luke16:9-15

Put God first and follow Jesus Christ and His teachings! That is the key to life! He knows our hearts! My spouse does not like today that he sees the church turning itself into a business, with bingo, movie night, dinners, dancing, raffles, parties galore, they seem to sell themselves out to make so much money. Jesus didn't like it when He went to the Temple and saw all this money changing and business taking place in His Fathers house. There is something about it that is questionable for sure. I guess priests justify it too with money for a marble sanctuary, their school, fancy gold candelabras, etc. Does God know our hearts? Are we truly focused on Him and trying to be more like Jesus? We had a bad experience at our old church with the priest completely ignoring us, avoiding us, not having anything to do with us, we would see him at the gym and church, he would not be bothered with us, although we went to church there each week and all holy days. It was sad and painful, but we switched to another church with a loving and kind welcoming priest more like Jesus. Priests are human too, some not always kind and loving or like Jesus, like the pharisees here in the Bible reading above, some priest serve money and things of this world, not their parishioners. We need to live in the Spirit world, not of this material world, we need to focus on God, please and live for Him, know that He died for us and became poor so we could become rich in Him! He knows our hearts! We have eternal life in Him! What a blessing!
