We Need to Repent, Fast, Change from Our Wicked Ways and Put on Our Sackcloth of Humility, Goodness, and Sincerity!

The word of the LORD came to Jonah, saying:
"Set out for the great city of Nineveh,
and announce to it the message that I will tell you."
So Jonah made ready and went to Nineveh,
according to the LORD'S bidding.
Now Nineveh was an enormously large city;
it took three days to go through it.
Jonah began his journey through the city,
and had gone but a single day's walk announcing,
"Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed, "
when the people of Nineveh believed God;
they proclaimed a fast
and all of them, great and small, put on sackcloth.
When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way,
he repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to them;
he did not carry it out.

~Jonah 3:1-5, 10

We have a merciful God! He loves us so much! He is a God of second chances, often many chances, but He does want us to repent, to obey His commandments, follow the teachings of Jesus, be people of goodwill who live sincere, humble lives. We need to fast more, mourn, put on our sackcloth, and live simple devoted lives to God. He performs miracles, He shows mercy, grace, and love for us. We wants us to stay away from wicked and evil, not be slaves for the devil. We all know good from bad. We all know what is right and wrong. He wants us to do the good. Unfortunately, we have a world, people, and governments, and elected who are doing a lot of evil today. They are evil, selfish, greedy, corrupt, do a lot to hurt the people, not what God wants. They think they are God now, as if it is up to them to determine the fate of all of humanity, but it is not. It is up to God. Some never learn. They never read the Bible, follow God nor know Jesus. It is obvious. God was going to destroy the City of Nineveh, but He saw the people changed from their ways. How can we today help all people change from their wicked ways and turn from evil and repent, to put on their sackcloth. We all need to be aware of how we are living our lives, how our government is running the society, all of humanity, we need to follow God, we need to know Jesus and be people of goodwill!
