Following God so to Receive the Unfading Crown of Glory!

Beloved:
I exhort the presbyters among you,
as a fellow presbyter and witness to the sufferings of Christ
and one who has a share in the glory to be revealed.
Tend the flock of God in your midst,
overseeing not by constraint but willingly,
as God would have it, not for shameful profit but eagerly.
Do not lord it over those assigned to you,
but be examples to the flock.
And when the chief Shepherd is revealed,
you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

~1 Peter 5:1-4

Today in a world when we see that our so called leadership, elected, governments are failing their people, we need to take the leadership role through discipleship. To be and spread the example of Jesus to all. So we can receive and wear the crown of glory. We are all called. Unfortunately today so many fail, they become slaves to this material world and Satan, sharing in the wickedness, sin, greed, corruption, fraud, selfish and self-serving ways, they put things of this world first over God and Heaven. Selling their souls to the devil and the country out to China. We need to take a leadership role. To pray, to be an example, and to act and be more like Jesus in every single way we can. Even today we see priests and clergy who use Jesus to make a lot of money or go into being a priest to appease to little old ladies, but really do not have Jesus in their hearts and act so indifference and hateful toward their parishioners. It is all sad to see. The biggest problem today in our society is selfishness which then breeds into greed, fraud, corruption, and a multitude of bad deeds. People put money and power over God and good. They become slaves for the devil, doing his deeds and hurting others, their country, the world. It is sad to see. We are called to be examples like God gave us in Jesus, to be love first, with mercy and forgiveness. The Bible verse above assures us when we are His disciples doing His work we are promised a crown of glory in Him. That really is all that matters, not all the gold or money of this world.  We must stay focused on our mission of discipleship in Christ to help get as many to Heaven as we can!
