Save St. Mary's Church in North Brookfield, New York found on the Big Frog
I am touched by this story and the miracle that is happening here with Megan Barnes saving this church. This church is located in North Brookfield, New York where my father was born. He went to this church along with much of his family. Some Furner's married the Barnes', so we are related to them. So many in this small hamlet have been here for services, funerals, first communions, weddings, and events. It has been around for over 100 years built in 1894. I think it is a blessing and miracle that Megan has this passion in her heart to save this church, not just for herself, but for the community and all the people who have memories and a history for this church. Some still remember going her as young people like my father's cousins who grew up here in this town. It is a beautiful small church. It has a history and she wants to save it. It is sad that over the past many years the Catholic Diocese around here have closed, sold, and destroyed so many churches. It is a blessing and miracle that Megan can try to save this one. I donated money for this as I know some of my other family have too. My family went to a fundraise for it too recently. I pray we can save this church and move it to the Barnes family farm and it can be used as a chapel for many more generations to come. God bless Megan in her pursuit to realize this dream and to make it a miracle for all people in this close knit community. With God all things are possible! Please pray for this wonderful miracle and cause!
