A Miracle and Blessing: The Annunciation of the Lord Foretold in the Old Testament in Isaiah!

The LORD spoke to Ahaz, saying:
Ask for a sign from the LORD, your God;
let it be deep as the nether world, or high as the sky!
But Ahaz answered,
“I will not ask! I will not tempt the LORD!”
Then Isaiah said:
Listen, O house of David!
Is it not enough for you to weary people,
must you also weary my God?
Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign:
the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son,
and shall name him Emmanuel,
which means “God is with us!”

~Isaiah 7:10-14; 8:10

God gave a sign, a miracle and blessing was foretold in Isaiah about the Annunciation of the Lord! What a blessing and miracle! The Nativity and Christmas story foretold of the birth of Jesus, our Emmanuel, God with us! So many never wanted to accept this prophecy. But why? It all came true. Ironically, so much of what is in Isaiah talks about the life of Jesus Christ from His birth to His death. It is all there, all foretold, all prophesized, but yet some do not want to believe and follow Jesus! We cannot be weary and apathetic people. God gives us signs, and as you know all of this occurred, the Virgin Mary gave birth to Jesus, the son of God who came into this world to save us of our sins, to be our Salvation, and to lead us to life eternal in Heaven with Him. What a blessing and miracle! What an awesome God we serve! Believe in miracles! Believe and follow Jesus!
