Jesus Tells Us How to Pray and To Forgive!

Jesus said to his disciples:

“In praying, do not babble like the pagans,

who think that they will be heard because of their many words.

Do not be like them.

Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

“This is how you are to pray:

‘Our Father who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name,

thy Kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us;

and lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.’

“If you forgive others their transgressions,

your heavenly Father will forgive you.

But if you do not forgive others,

neither will your Father forgive your transgressions.”

~Matthew 6:7-15

Jesus us tells us how to pray! What a blessing! He also tells us to forgive, like the Our Father Prayer says, we need to forgive others, so our Father will forgive us. We cannot go around with a lot of hate, vengefulness, and carry sins, we need to forgive others and ask them to forgive us as well. God wants us to pray in private, to see k God, do His will. Remember the biggest part of this prayer is not to ask for things from God, He knows what we need, we need to pray that His will be done in our lives! God wants us to pray to Him! He wants us to do His will! He wants us to forgive! When we all work toward this, the world will be a better place! Be joyful in the Lord! Know what our ultimate goal is in life, Heaven!
