Pride Corrupts! We Need God, We Need to Let Him Lead Us, to Accept His Will Be Done in Our lives!

 

As long as Uzziah sought the Lord, God gave him success. But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.

~2 Chronicles 26:5b, 16a

Humans often have this problem. They let pride go to their head, they think they are powerful or above the law and then it corrupts them. Pride does this. We see it a lot today in our society, especially from our government, elected, and powers that be, they have a little power and a title of an senator, president, or congressperson, and it all goes to their head, they think they are above the law and do things corruptly, they get greedy, let power go to their head, are selfish, and hurt others and society as a while. We sure can learn a lot from the Bible and its stories. Like this one about King Uzziah. We see a lot of so called leaders do the same thing today, they sell their souls and all the money in China to Satan, they lose sight of God and all His goodness for our lives. We need to be careful not to let our hearts become corrupt with power and strength. We need to realize and know, we need God to guide us, lead us, bring us where we need to be, accepting His will be done in our lives. That is what is important in our lives!
