Sacred Heart of Jesus, Pray for Us! Humans Can be so Cruel! Look What They Did to Jesus, and Now We Look Upon Him!

 

Since it was preparation day,

in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath,

for the sabbath day of that week was a solemn one,

the Jews asked Pilate that their legs be broken

and they be taken down.

So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first

and then of the other one who was crucified with Jesus.

But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead,

they did not break his legs,

but one soldier thrust his lance into his side,

and immediately blood and water flowed out.

An eyewitness has testified, and his testimony is true;

he knows that he is speaking the truth,

so that you also may come to believe.

For this happened so that the Scripture passage might be fulfilled:

Not a bone of it will be broken.

And again another passage says:

They will look upon him whom they have pierced.

~John 19:31-37

Look what they did to an innocent man like Jesus! People can be so cruel. Today we see the same persecution on some people in our current world, the hate people disparage is so sad to see. So hard to understand. They are so afraid of God! Lack Jesus.  Even in the times of Jesus, all the priests, pharisees, and Sanhedrin were afraid of Jesus and His knowledge and power as the son of God.  They tested Him, taunted Him, and then had Him killed, such haters and cowards. We are seeing similar things today take place toward some people. Let's face it, the so called leaders, powers that be, elected, and supposed most holy are so insecure and use their power to do so much evil, bad, and wickedness today like in the times of Jesus. All we can do is turn to Jesus, pray to Him, know His love, compassion, mercy, and forgiveness is so great for us. His sacred heart died for us and our sins, an innocent man, lead as a lamb for slaughter for the sins, hate, and evil of this world. God gave us Jesus, He is Emmanuel, God with us, God gave Him to us as an example, a model of how to live, we are to follow Him, accept our cross and follow Jesus so to have eternal life like Him in Heaven.
