Les Feldick this week  on his Christian Bible show spoke about Tocqueville and how he came to the USA and was fascinated by how the people of the USA were people of God. They were good people and of goodwill. They served God first and were upright and holy. He thought it was very noticeable how the people of the USA were good God fearing upright and holy people compared to where he came from. Alexis Charles Henri Clérel was born into a noble family who managed to survive the 1789 French Revolution. He would go on to inherit the Comte de Tocqueville, under the Bourbon restoration. A French aristocrat and diplomat, he is best known for his writings “Democracy in America” (1835, 1840) and “The Old Regime and the Revolution” (1856), travelling back and forth between the United States and France several times throughout his life he made many observations about society in the USA and its government. Well, it seems like we have reached the point that Tocqueville spoke about in his quotes, our country is broken and corrupted by greed, corruption, and fraud, all brought on by our elected, the government agencies, and powers that be. It is sad to see, that even someone from another country could predict this based on how we had our government set up. It requires to be successful that people running it are people of God, who read the Bible, follow God, obey Him, and reflect and act like Jesus. Today however, we do not have people in government, our elected, or powers that be that serve God, that know and reflect Jesus, that put the whole first as a civilized and humane society as a whole. It is sad to see! When people come to this country today, would they still think the same way as Tocqueville did when he came to visit? What happened to our country? Why are all elected, the government, and powers that be so greedy, selfish, corrupt, self-serving, and put themselves first over the well being of this country. Where is the law and order today? They all seem to put hate first and injustice a part of it all due to their hate. Why have so many become slaves for Satan, selling out their souls and country to the devil for all the money in China and the gold bars from Egypt. It is sad to see. Our country needs a lot of prayers, they need to turn to Jesus, follow Him, reflect Him, be more like Him, if not we are doomed! The wisdom of Tocqueville is so germane today, we are seeing it all play out each day, it doesn't seem like a democracy anymore here!
