Make Sure You are Planted, Grow, Live, and Fall on Rich Soil!

 

On that day, Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea.

Such large crowds gathered around him

that he got into a boat and sat down,

and the whole crowd stood along the shore.

And he spoke to them at length in parables, saying:

“A sower went out to sow.

And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path,

and birds came and ate it up.

Some fell on rocky ground, where it had little soil.

It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep,

and when the sun rose it was scorched,

and it withered for lack of roots.

Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it.

But some seed fell on rich soil, and produced fruit,

a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold.

Whoever has ears ought to hear.”

~Matthew 13:1-9

The rich soil is God and His word! We need to follow the Bible and Jesus! We need to obey God, the teachings of Jesus, and be people of goodwill. We need to make sure we are planted in good soil. Do you know if you are in good soil right now? Do you have Jesus in your life? Do you read the Bible? Are you obeying God and His Ten Commandments? The teachings of Jesus? Are you being a person of goodwill on this Earth School? Good soil? Are you heeding the teachings of Jesus? His parables are profound, but very clear and succinct, He tells us what we need to do and how to live.  Be careful not to sin or do evil. God knows our hearts, we need to live upright, holy, and godly lives. Are you reflecting Jesus, following Him, imitating Him? Make sure you are planted in rich soil so you can produce good fruit!
