We Are God's Beloved Creations, in Whom He is Well Pleased!

 

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

God was so pleased with how He created Jesus, He said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." God feels the same way about us too. We are all made in His image, just like Jesus. He loves us so much! He made us greater than we can ever know. Jesus knew this! He knew that God loved Him. He felt so whole, so complete, he was in perfect peace, sheltered peace, Sukkot shalom. He knew that His father would look out for Him, that God made Him exactly the way He did for a reason. God had a plan for Him, and He wanted to accomplish it for the Father's love. God affirms us! We need to look for God to fulfill our soul, not humankind. God is all that matters. What He thinks is all that matters. We need to follow and obey Him, the teachings of Jesus, and be people of goodwill. We need to repent, turn from all sin, and be upright and holy. We do not need to care about what humans think, what society says, we do not need to follow pop culture, social media, or need to be approved or accepted by anyone except God. He gives us perfect peace, sheltered peace, He speaks of us like He did of Jesus, He is so pleased with us, He made us! The only think that matters is God's love! Are you baptized in Christ?
