We Need to Remember that Selfishness never glorifies God, He is always pleased with the love that seek not its own!

Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatsoever you do, do all to the glory of God.

~ 1 Corinthians 10:31

We are here to glorify God! We should not live selfish, self-serving, and greedy lives, but live for God and seek to please and praise Him! That is what matters, praising Him and obeying Him. God gave us Jesus Christ as Emmanuel, God with us, to follow, imitate, and reflect, He wants us to live like Jesus. He wants us to serve and love others, not living selfish lives for only ourselves or being greedy or corrupt.

The Mornings With God App had a nice message today about how we need to always give glory to God and not be selfish. The App today said, " Nothing in life is left out – “whatsoever ye do.” It extends even to eating and drinking. We are to do all things to the glory of God. This means that we must do everything in a way that will please Him. To eat to the glory of God is to recognize Him as the Giver of our daily bread, to seek His blessing on it, to eat according to the divine laws, eating to be ready for the best service, and then to use all our strength in doing the work, which God gives us to do. One who eats self–indulgently or gluttonously, or who eats food that is injurious to his health, or who does not use the strength he derives from his food in living obediently, is not glorifying God. In all our life, in everything we do, we are to think of what will honor God. We are to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, which includes the law of love – the things that will bless those about us. Selfishness never glorifies God, but He is always pleased with the love that seeketh not its own."

We need to live upright and holy lives, we are called, to repent and not sin, to honor and love God, to live as Jesus did, and reflect and imitate Him. To be careful not into falling to be a slave for Satan, doing evil things hurting others and ourselves, we need to think of others and the world as a whole. Today we see a lot of greed, corruption, fraud, and selfishness, especially by our elected, powers that be and some government gangsters, who do so much bad and evil, not reflecting Jesus at all! Selfishness never glorifies God, when you are a slave for Satan and doing for Him or yourself, that is not what God has willed for your life. We need to be careful of this type of living. We are called to please God, honor Him, give Him praise, count our blessings, give thanks, and know that God should receive all the Glory!
