May we all be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding; that we may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing; that we may bear fruit in every good work!

We... do not cease to pray for you.

~Colossians 1:9

We need to pray! We need to ask for God's wisdom and grace, His love and mercy. His spiritual wisdom and understanding, accepting His will be done in our lives, those are all we really need, to walk worthy and pleasing to God, that we may bear fruit in every good work for Him and His plan! I pray daily that God leads me, instructs me, and brings me to where I need to be and always accept His will be done in my life. That is what really matters!  Everyday I pray a lot. I pray for many people and this world. I pray for people I know who are suffering now, someone lost a loved one, someone is suffering from an accident and divorce, others have health problems, etc. I pray for people in jail, some unjustly, I pray to end abortion in the world, for the young people who are misguided, for the seniors who are all alone, for the single people who want to meet a mate, there are so many prayers on our lips for others, we need to pray. We need to pray a lot and for so many. We need to pray for our world, our elected, the powers that be, and all the evil, corruption, greed, and selfishness we see. We need to turn it all over to God! God just wants us to obey Him, to follow the teachings of Jesus, and be people of goodwill, but unfortunately, many do not want to heed His will or follow Him or His son Jesus.

The Mornings With God App today said, "Some people pray for their friends, but ask only for things of lower or less important – that they may have good health, that they may get on well in worldly affairs, that they may prosper socially. These are proper enough blessings to ask for our friends, but they are not the first things. Paul, in praying for his friends, asks for them the highest and greatest things. He requests that they may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding; that they may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing; that they may bear fruit in every good work; that they may increase in the knowledge of God; and that they may be strengthened with all power unto all patience and long–suffering with joy. Could we do better than to pray Paul’s prayer for our friends? These are blessings, which we know they need, and which God is willing to give them. We need never fear that in asking for such things we are seeking for blessings that will perish in the using."

All we can do is pray! Pray for God's will be done, for His wisdom and grace, to understand Him better and to follow His son Jesus in all we do, we are called to respond, to act like, imitate, and reflect Jesus, God gave Him to us as our model, our example of how to live. We need to be people of goodwill like Jesus, accepting the will of God. Yes, may all people "be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding; that they may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing; that they may bear fruit in every good work; that they may increase in the knowledge of God; and that they may be strengthened with all power unto all patience and long–suffering with joy. Could we do better than to pray Paul’s prayer for our friends? These are blessings, which we know they need, and which God is willing to give them. We need never fear that in asking for such things we are seeking for blessings that will perish in the using!" May we all be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding!
