The Suffering for Doing Good Will Not Be in Vain!

Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? 14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats[b]; do not be frightened.”[c] 15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 17 For it is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. 19 After being made alive,[d] he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.[e] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

~1 Peter 3: 13-22

Peter offers some wonderful information for us as followers of Jesus Christ! We need to stay in Christ, that is for sure! All the suffering is not in vain and God will take care of us and see us through all this evil and darkness. We see a lot today in our world here on earth, so much greed, corruption, fraud, selfishness, mediocrity, a lot from our elected, government gangsters, and powers that be. It is obvious they do not have God or live in Spirit and do not work for God, but for Satan as have become his slaves, recall, god of Earth, Satan wants our souls, so many today are so quick to sell our souls for a little money, power, gold, luxury, whatever it may be, they can be deceitfully tricked so easier, even all this pop-culture, consumerism, iPhone, tattoos, social media, all the hate and division, a lot of hate is a big problem today. We need to be careful not to fall into that hate. We must stay focused on Jesus, following, imitating, and reflecting Him, being positive, loving, and joyful, not just joyful, but joyful in the Lord! Peter offers a lot of good advice in His chapters on how to live and what we need to do as humans, we need to live in Spirit, following Jesus, being Christ-centered, we can be with Him in Heaven, if we stay God centered although there is suffering!
