 Each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 

~Ephesians 4:25

We need to speak truthful in Christ! We need to be upright and holy and always be honest and truthful in all we do and say!  St Paul talks about this, we need to “put off falsehood”—and practice—“speak truthfully." We need to build others up. We need to live positively, lovingly, and stay joyful in the Lord always. We should want to honor God, honor Him with following and adhering to the 10 Commandments, the teachings of Jesus, and being people of goodwill. 

In Our Daily Bread today they talked about being truthful and said, "the apostle Paul said that telling the truth is a vital habit for believers in Jesus to live out. He reminded the Ephesians that they’d put away their old way of living through surrendering their lives to Christ (Ephesians 2:1-5). Now, they needed to live like the new people they’d become, incorporating specific actions into their lives. One such action was something to cease—“put off falsehood”—and the other action something to practice—“speak truthfully to your neighbor” (4:25). Because it protected the unity of the church, the Ephesians were to always have their words and actions be about “building others up” (v. 29).As the Holy Spirit helps us (vv. 3-4), believers in Jesus can strive for truth in their words and actions. Then the church will be unified, and God will be honored."

Today we live in a society and world where a lot of people lie. Especially, elected and powers that be. They lie to get elected and cheat, steal, and lie to stay in power, being corrupt, and committing fraud, selling themselves out and our countries for all the money in China or gold bars in Egypt. We have a lot of corrupt people in office, as our elected today, they lie so much. They will lie just to get votes, then do just the opposite. They will take money from other countries and sell themselves and our countries out, all for money, power, gold bars, and the lap of luxury. Unfortunately, so many today have become slaves for Satan, Satan is the god of earth, the god of deception, people who deceive and lie are just being slaves for Satan too. We need to learn to follow Jesus, He never lied to us. We can trust Him. When we are truthful putting off falsehood we are more unified with others in Christ and this honors God! We are all one body in Christ! We should want to honor God, we should want to be truthful!
