If God were in charge of our neighborhoods and workplaces, People Flourish! Accept His will be done in your life!

Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

~Matthew 6:10

Trust in God! He will take care of you! Today it is hard to trust others, our loved ones, family, government, and most people today always disappoint, a lot. They do a lot of bad things and do not really care to take care of us well or at all sometimes. We see a lot of greed, corruption, fraud, selfishness, and mediocrity from our government and elected today. Just look at all the debt and injustice. They are supposed to uphold law and order, yet have become government gangsters it seems, not doing a good job caring for the people and communities they represent. It is sad to see in the news and some of the evil we see today. Today no one takes sin seriously, so many become slaves for Satan doing so much evil and making excuses for it as if it is okay to do wrong. We need to pray to God, ask for His guidance, pray, trust, and have faith. He always takes care of His people over the history of time. Look how he cared for the Jewish people in Egypt and even today.

Today in the message from Our Daily Bread they had a nice write-up about how God takes care of us! Our Daily Bread said, "The factories of Victorian England were dark places. Fatalities were high, and workers often lived in poverty. “How can the working man cultivate ideals,” George Cadbury asked, “when his home is a slum?” And so he built a new kind of factory for his expanding chocolate business, one that benefited his workers. The result was Bournville, a village of more than three hundred homes with sports fields, playgrounds, schools, and churches for Cadbury’s workers and their families. They were paid good wages and offered medical care, all because of Cadbury’s faith in Christ. Jesus teaches us to pray for God’s will to be done “on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). This prayer can help us imagine, as Cadbury did, what our workplaces would be like under God’s rule, where our “daily bread” is earned and our “debtors” forgiven (vv. 11-12). As employees, it means working with “all your heart . . . for the Lord” (Colossians 3:23). As employers, it means giving staff what’s “right and fair” (4:1). Whatever our role, whether paid or voluntary, it means tending to the well-being of those we serve with. Like George Cadbury, let’s imagine how things could be different if God were in charge of our neighborhoods and workplaces. Because when He is, people flourish."

We see a lot of evil and wickedness today in our world. Crime, corruption, greed, selfishness all seem so rampant. We often wonder is our governments taking care of its people like George Cadbury did? I do not think so. We need to live and work with all our hearts, knowing we serve God first. Put Him first, let His will be done in your life. Trust in Him alone! Many people and elected/so-called leaders will always disappoint, but Jesus never will. Cultivate ideals with Jesus, live for Him, reflect Him, follow Him, imitate Him, let His will be done!
