Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past! What great advice from the Bible! I love the Bible, I try to read some each day. I love my faith, Jesus, and God, all He has done for me and offering us Salvation, life eternal in Heaven as long as we follow Jesus! We are called to follow, imitate, and reflect Jesus in all we do on this Earth School journey! Today we start a new year, 2025, we are told to forget the former things, things from the past, we are told not to dwell on the past. What great advice. We need to also each morning when we wake up say, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." We can only take one day at a time, God will get us through anything, He promises us this. We cannot let the past hold us back. We need to move on. I have had a blessed career as an educator now for 38 years, 28.5 at my university as a professor, God has done so much for me, I have had so many wonderful students, publications, and accomplishments, I am so grateful for all of this! My goal for the new year is to read the Bible more, pray more, and work toward following, imitating, and reflecting Jesus more, the best I can. Not letting the past hold me back, to move forward in love, being positive, loving, and joyful in the Lord! I am grateful for the past and look forward to retirement and a future filled with God's love and having Jesus be my guide. The best is yet to come! God is making a way!
