Retirement blessings! God is so good to me!

 

Retirement blessings! God is so good to me! I feel so blessed and grateful to God that I have been able to retire after 38 years as an educator. The early retirement incentive my work offered was a real blessing too, almost an entire other year of pay to get done. I have had so many wonderful years. So many fond memories working with you children and people who wanted to be teachers. My area is math so I taught math, I loved it. Turning young people on to math and to see its value. I loved using didactics/manipulatives and showing young people and future teachers how to best teach math concepts to learners. I was blessed to be able to learn to be a writer and write more than 100 papers, present at hundreds of conferences, win teaching awards, and have so many wonderful students and accomplishments. It was all a blessing from God, a calling. Now just retired a month, it feels so good to be done. No more meetings, tolerating poor administrators, seeing all the injustice and issues. Now I just count my blessings to say I have had a blessed career, so many wonderful students and accomplishments. I cannot complain at all now, I am done. I gave my all to my profession and job. I had great returns and God was with me through it all. I could not ask for a better career life. Now it is time for my next discipleship/blog of writing for the Lord, to dedicate my life for Him, sharing Him, and singing His praises. God has been so good to me. I was able to teach overseas twice, in Mexico City and in Bogota Colombia. I worked as a teacher in NY, MA, AL, and Mexico. I was blessed to grow up in the country, on a farm, working on my neighbors farm when I was 13. Just so many blessings and I could go on and on, but I must say, I am blessed! God is so good to me and I am so grateful for all! My retirement has started, and now I can write more, take more photos, spend more time on my health and well being, travel, be more like Jesus, drink more green tea, and do all I ever wanted to do, to really live!
