The Prayer in Quietude, sometimes we just need to be quiet to meet God in His serenity!
Loving God, I ask that there will always be within my heart a quiet room to meet You in serenity.
~Heart of the Nation Prayer of the Day, January 11, 2025
I really liked this simple prayer about meeting and praying with God in serenity. It is such a nice thought. I am praying all day long from the moment I wake up until I fall to sleep. I pray a lot for others, more for others than myself. It is all God's will be done anyway, but I like to pray for all I know are anxious and have a lot of problems. I pray in the morning, saying "this is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." I have a lot of set prayers, mostly Catholic prayers that I say in the morning, along with a few Bible verses each day, a Hail Mary, Our Father, St. Michael the Archangel, etc. I pray for my family, colleagues from work, friends, older lady friends I know who are by themselves, for nieces and nephews, for the unborn, for the prisoners, the priests to be more like Jesus, for those who have died and may be in purgatory, or those who lost someone. I pray for all who are filled with so much hate and derangement that they may find love, positivity, and joy in their heats. I love my prayer time with God, in quiet times in my rosary or by myself, or in church within groups of people. God is a big part of my life each day. talking to Jesus, trying to follow Him, reflect, and imitate Him is my goal, to get into Heaven to spend eternity there with Jesus is important and this prayer is part of that process in getting there. I liked this simple prayer on my Heart of the Nation website of prayers each day, it is simple, but profound. We all need to pray. Sometimes we just need to be quiet to meet God in His serenity!
