What great advice from Proverbs! So so true. So many today though think they know more or best. They try to live without God or do things the way they want or think is best, only to stumble, have problems, or live in misery. Some get negative, hateful, and lack joy, they live with hate and blame, even revenge and can become deranged. We see a lot of this today where people are trying to make excuses and live without God and His guidance and will be done. I really love this Bible verse. It is so critical that we recognize God, trust in Him, not our understanding, and acknowledge Him and allow Him to direct our paths. I always say this each day when I say the St. Anthony prayer, as St. Anthony is know for whispering into baby Jesus ear and requesting our prayers, but I think instead, we need to ask God to lead us, to direct us, to bring us where we need to be in life and to always accept His will be done in our lives, that is the only way, that is the wise way, we cannot lean on our own understanding, humans need God! I saw this Bible verse today in my readings and it really resonated with me and I wanted to share it with all. God loves us so much! He sent us Jesus. Look what we did to Him. Yet God allowed Him to be an expiation for our sins, we are forgiven in Jesus Christ, recall, the new law from the Jews due to Jesus is the will of God only, no more rituals. We just need to follow Jesus, reflect and imitate Him, we just need to do the will of God, let Him direct our steps!  What a blessing!
