Try harder to please God, not humans!

 

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

~Galatians 1:10

St. Paul reminds us in this nice Bible verse that we as humans are here to please God, not other people. If we keep trying to please people, then we are not being good servants for Jesus Christ! Today many people do so much for attention, they are insecure and seek a lot of attention from other people, humans. However, God really wants us to try harder to please Him! Not others. We are called to follow Jesus. Remember that God gave us Jesus, our Emmanuel, our God with us, Jesus is the example, the model we are supposed to follow, imitate, and reflect. When we do this, as we interact with others we are doing the will of God, loving all others. We do not need to win the approval of others. We are already approved by God! He loves us so much and made us in His image. Stop trying so hard to please other people, please God by being more like Jesus!
