Summoned by Jesus to preach repentance, to drive out demons, to anoint and heal the sick, be Disciples of hope for Him!

Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two
and gave them authority over unclean spirits.
He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick
–no food, no sack, no money in their belts.
They were, however, to wear sandals but not a second tunic.
He said to them,
“Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave from there.
Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you,
leave there and shake the dust off your feet
in testimony against them.”
So they went off and preached repentance.
The Twelve drove out many demons,
and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.

~Mark 6:7-13

We are all summoned by Jesus to preach repentance, to drive out demons, to anoint and heal the sick, be Disciples of hope for Him!  It is clear here Jesus wants us to help Him, to be good disciples for Christ. We are called to offer hope, to pray, to lay our hands and heal and drive out demons the best we can, often by our own actions of love and Christ-like behavior. Today we see a lot of people show a lot of selfishness, they project this by their behaviors, showing this image of greed and selfishness, we see it about many people today, many almost seemed possessed by demons too in how they behave. I see it while driving, some really crazy and selfish and aggressive people. Even at the gym, not sharing or thinking about others, using all, but on your phone and not doing anything, making others wait. We see a lot of people today with real foul mouths using the F word and so much offensive language. So many show and project themselves by the way they behave in public, even when they do not know people can see or hear them. Usually the same that never want you to talk about God, Jesus, or the Bible. We need Jesus! He can heal us and bring us to a higher level, but the ones who do not want to hear from us, we are reminded, to just keep walking, shake the dust off our shoes, and move on, be the example of Christ we are called to be. We need to preach repentance, sin is real, so many like to make so many excuses for sin, lawlessness, and chaos, like killing babies is fine, they try to justify changing a child's gender, against who God made them to be. We are living in sad and dark times, but there is hope when we follow Jesus, He is summoning us too, to pick up are walking stick and get out there, to preach repentance, to pray and heal others, we can heal, we can offer hope, we can be disciples for Christ like we are called to be. That is being a miracle for others in Christ!
