Jeremiah has some good advice: Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings, who seeks his strength in flesh, whose heart turns away from the LORD! Blessed are they who hope in the Lord!

 

Thus says the LORD:

Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings,

who seeks his strength in flesh,

whose heart turns away from the LORD.

He is like a barren bush in the desert

that enjoys no change of season,

But stands in a lava waste,

a salt and empty earth.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

whose hope is the LORD.

He is like a tree planted beside the waters

that stretches out its roots to the stream:

It fears not the heat when it comes,

its leaves stay green;

In the year of drought it shows no distress,

but still bears fruit.

More tortuous than all else is the human heart,

beyond remedy; who can understand it?

I, the LORD, alone probe the mind

and test the heart,

To reward everyone according to his ways,

according to the merit of his deeds.

~Jeremiah 17:5-10

Blessed are they who hope in the Lord.

~Psalm 1:1-2, 3, 4 and 6 (and 40:5a)

Jeremiah has some good advice: Cursed is the man who trusts in human beings, who seeks his strength in flesh, whose heart turns away from the LORD! The Psalm confirms that, "Blessed are they who hope in the Lord!" What a blessing! So many today try to live without God. Then we all wonder why the world is so messed up. Why there are so many problems and hate. We see so much aggression, hate, and impatience, so much evil and wickedness by some. Why are there  so many unhappy people, who hate, are negative, and live in misery? They think of things of the flesh or material goods will make them happy, but they won't. Only God will! Yes, blessed are they who hope in the Lord! This verse in Jeremiah is another good reminder for all of us, we are on the wrong track when we follow things of this world, instead of having our hope in the Lord! So many become slaves for Satan. Doing so much evil. Hating our President, burning Tesla cars, using activist judges to block the peoples mandate for this country, we see so many elitist and globalist use so much violence and hate, and injustice. They are so hypocritical and such haters. Our country and world need our prayers. The devil is taking over, reeking havoc and chaos, allowing so much lawlessness and destruction all because some do not have God in them, they are unhappy and full of hate and their derangement syndromes. It is all so sad to see, we need to find joy in the Lord, to follow Jesus, to reflect and imitate Him! To be positive, don't trust in human beings, instead in God, seeking Him, putting God first in our lives! That is what our world and its people need to do, remove the hate and things of this world and focus on God and following Jesus Christ!
