Another miracle: The angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, led them out, and said, "Go and take your place in the temple area!"

The high priest rose up and all his companions,

that is, the party of the Sadducees,

and, filled with jealousy,

laid hands upon the Apostles and put them in the public jail.

But during the night, the angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison,

led them out, and said,

"Go and take your place in the temple area,

and tell the people everything about this life."

When they heard this,

they went to the temple early in the morning and taught.

When the high priest and his companions arrived,

they convened the Sanhedrin,

the full senate of the children of Israel,

and sent to the jail to have them brought in.

But the court officers who went did not find them in the prison,

so they came back and reported,

"We found the jail securely locked

and the guards stationed outside the doors,

but when we opened them, we found no one inside."

When the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests heard this report,

they were at a loss about them,

as to what this would come to.

Then someone came in and reported to them,

"The men whom you put in prison are in the temple area

and are teaching the people."

Then the captain and the court officers went and brought them,

but without force,

because they were afraid of being stoned by the people.

~Acts 5:17-26

Another miracle: The angel of the Lord opened the doors of the prison, led them out, and said, "Go and take your place in the temple area!" This first reading from the mass today shares another miracle from God! He sent His angels to release the Apostles from the jail! God can do that for us too! He can perform miracles! I know He did it for me recently offering in my job a great incentive to retire young and get done work. It was a blessing! God is performing so many miracles all the time. He makes things fair to those who are unjustly treated. Have you ever been unfairly treated? We need to know, we can trust in the Lord, He can make things right and fair for all of us unfairly mistreated. Today we see so many who are woke and cancel others, their hate is so profound that a long with their insecurities, jealousy, and envy can lead to cancel culture. Cancel culture is an ugly thing today in our society. It is real. People living in fear and acting out against others, like what the Pharisees did to Jesus in having Him murdered, killed on a cross for no reason, He was an innocent man, but look what happened to Him! He defeated death and died for out sins, and not sits at the right hand of God for all of us in Heaven. All we need to do now is turn from our sin, follow Jesus, reflect, and imitate Him and know that His promise is real, we can have life eternal when we follow Him! Miracles are abound in this Earth School journey, their are angels to free us, we are called to go and take our place at the temple for God!  Speaking for Him, being good disciples for Christ! We need to put all of our trust in Him! God comes first!
