Faith to carry on, only with Jesus!

 

Jesus, my hope, As I continue to seek, May discouragement not get the better of me. When I feel let down and When am afraid to get my hopes up, Grant me faith enough to keep trying. Amen.

Faith to carry on, only with Jesus! This was a nice prayer today from Heart of the Nation! I love their prayers and mass each week on TV. Today I needed this reminder. Life sure can be stressful and frustrating sometimes, mostly dealing with others or their lack of responding back or addressing the concerns. While I have had a blessed week, I have had to deal with no follow up to some issues from my old job, my old university, from a purchase we made that did not include all the parts, just so many little things are so frustrating, they can get one down. So many today never follow up on anything or do what they say or make all so hard and difficult. You have to ask yourself why do people have to do this to each other. I am always frustrated with the lack of follow-up and all the cancel culture that goes on today. Sometimes it makes me feel, why do I want to donate to them anymore. Luckily I have God and  he gave us Jesus, they help me so much, to center me and make me realize that things of this world, just do not matter that much and humans will always disappoint, but God never will. All we can do is pray and ask God to give us enough faith and hope to carry on and make the best of the mediocrity and difficulties of life. It can be frustrating, but what can you do? Sometimes things are just out of your control. I have seen some real disappointment with my past job I had for almost 30 years, they just never really showed they appreciated me and all my many years of service, while it is frustrating, I need to forgive, forget, move on and let it all be water under the bridge. I need to remember and we all do, that not to let discouragement get the better of me. When I feel let down and when am afraid to get my hopes up, that God grants me faith enough to keep trying! That is all we can do is turn to Jesus!
