God has given us glimpses of the good things of the heavenly life here in our earthly wilderness—previews of the full glory that awaits us!
When they came to the Valley of Eshcol, they cut down a branch with a single cluster of grapes, which they carried on a pole between two men. They also took some pomegranates and figs.
~Numbers 13:23
As we go about our Earthly journey, God gives us glimpses of Heaven on our way. What a blessing! God is so good to us. I always say that when I go to the beach and experience so much when in the ocean or at the beach praying and enjoying God so much! We are promised life eternal in Heaven when we follow Jesus! We are called to follow, reflect, imitate, and love like Him! Knowing all of this brings peace to us as we journey along!
The Mornings With God App this week said, "God has given us glimpses of the good things of the heavenly life here in our earthly wilderness—previews of the full glory that awaits us. The joy, peace, love, and grace we experience now are sweet, but they are only tiny samples of the abundance of blessings that fill the Better Land. The old rabbis used to say that when the famine began in Egypt and the storehouses were opened, Joseph threw the chaff of the grain into the Nile so it would float downriver and show those downstream that there was plenty of food stored for them upstream. In the same way, the blessings of divine grace we enjoy in this world are little more than the husks of the heavenly blessings that await us. The joy we have now is deep and rich, but the joy of heaven will be infinitely deeper and richer."
God sends us many messages. He tugs at us on our way. He is there. He gives us many special surprises and glimpses of what He has in store for us. We need to realize that we are never alone. We are promised so much from our Maker! We were given Jesus as our model, our example of who to follow, how to live, how to love. Many refuse this, ignore God, or think they are above Him, they think they are wiser, know more. But they do not. So tell me they do not like my religion or who are support politically, if you do not fall in line with their hate, their club of think, they hate and cancel you. God will never do this. What a blessing! These glimpses are helpful too. We need to pray for haters and ones who think it is fine to cancel and dismiss others, it is not. Love always wins over hate and God rewards good behavior with more glimpses of Heaven and the Promised Land. We need to count our blessings! Give thanks, follow Jesus, and know that things of this world are never as good as where we are going if we follow Jesus while here! It matters in how we have loved!
