Have you ever been mistreated unfairly like Joseph?

Have you ever been mistreated unfairly like Joseph? We are called if we have been to not return evil for evil, but instead love them anyway who have mistreated you! It is a very hard thing. How did Joseph do it?  One must have great faith! Trust in the Lord! Forgive, love, have mercy, and show grace, these are what Joseph had to do with all the mistreatment he had to endure in his life. Joseph was envied and had very jealous brothers, they did not like that he was the youngest and was favored by his father. The decided to kill him and throw him in a well. He was then sold into slavery and mistreated, but God is great, He knew of the righteousness of Joseph, God made in an assistant to Pharaoh and he was even able to interpret his dreams, Joseph had rose to power, until the Pharaoh's wife accused him of some indecent acts, because Joseph would not give into her desires, so he was put into Jail, but Joseph with his powers to interpret dreams rose to fame. He was even reacquainted with his brothers and family when they came for food during a famine. He forgave them. Joseph like Esau was mistreated by a sibling and others, shortchanged for his rights to a good life. Jacob stole the birthright from his brother Esau, like Joseph's brothers did to him. Joseph still loved them, he showed them mercy and grace. He just wanted to see his father, who thought he was dead. Joseph showed so much mercy. He had the mentality of forgive them for they know not what they do or say. The story of Joseph is beautiful. Jesus was also rejected like Joseph was.  I know I have felt this way a lot, in life, growing up, at work a lot with so many using me and taking advantage of me, even some riding on my shoulders using me and my research a stepping stone to their publications and advancement. I know in my past job as a professor, I always felt like so many were so jealous and envious of my success with so many publications. It is hard to be used and abused, to be mistreated unfairly. It has happened to many of us, many seek revenge, to get even, to think two wrongs make a right. I try to respond with love. I know there is hate, cancel culture, envy, and jealousy out there. People often do not like others who are successful or have a nice coat of many colors like Joseph received from his father, even his brothers were jealous and envious. Have you been mistreated because of someone's insecurities? For someone being jealous, envious, or just wanting to mistreat you really for no good reason? I often say, wait one day before responding to any contentious email, I keep on my laptop the Bible verse from Luke 23:34: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing. It is a good reminder, people just do not realize the hurt they inflict, by ignoring, hating, canceling, mistreating others. But God is always good to us who receive such unfair treatment, look what happened to Joseph! We need to make sure not to seek revenge and be spiteful, instead, do all with love, forgive, show mercy, and love them anyway, they do not have God in them, to know right from wrong often, they are blinded by their envy, jealousy, and insecurities. Move on, forgive, show mercy, love anyway, know that God will always make everything right in the end to the one who loves Him!  God reminds us in Genesis that you cannot keep a good man down! So life yourselves us, you are promised something so great in Jesus Christ! Heaven!
