We’ve never lived today before. Even though we’ve lived thousands of other days, each new day brings us a path we’ve never walked. The only safe way is to always keep Jesus in sight and follow it!

 

And he said to the priests, “Take the ark of the covenant and go on ahead of the people.” So they carried the ark of the covenant and went ahead of them. 

~Joshua 3:6 

We need to live for each day with God's assistance. He gave us Jesus as our model, our example of how to live and maneuver as we go about on this Earth School journey. We are called to follow, reflect, imitate, and love like Jesus! Each day brings its own challenges and adventures, we can never do it all alone, we need God. He wants us to know Him to love Him, to accept His will be done in our lives. To follow His Word and His Son! As humans we think we know best, or we become arrogant and egocentric not thinking that God's will be done is what we need to pray for and follow! 

The Mornings With God App today said, "The ark symbolized God’s presence. God is always ready to lead us. To go into life’s experiences without Him is to fail. Earlier, when they were preparing to cross the river, Joshua told the people, “You haven’t traveled this way before, so you must keep the ark in sight as it goes before you.” This is true for every day of our lives. One of the marks of a true Christian is that they follow Christ. His sheep know His voice and follow Him, and He goes before them. Children should learn early on that Christ is their Leader, and every morning they can place their hand in His for guidance through the day."

The Mornings with God App today had a nice message, it resonated with me, each day is new, we cannot think we know best or can do it all on our own, we need God, we need to follow Jesus, our model.  The only safe way is to always keep Jesus in sight and follow it! Like this Bible verse said about the Ark, our Ark is Jesus, we need to follow Him! While humans always disappoint, God never will. When we focus on Him, live a God-centered world and follow Jesus, we will find that we have a happy, healthy life with so much peace! This is what matters. We need to stay away from sin, as Jesus as our guide and model, try to follow Him the best we can. He will never disappoint us like a human will. Remember the Ark of the Covenant carried the 10 Commandments, God's Word, we are supposed to follow them as part of the Law in the Old Testament, our sins are forgiven when we follow Jesus, God's Son, our model for life, we are promised life eternal in Heaven when we do! So again I say, he only safe way is to always keep Jesus in sight and follow it!
