There is something greater than Earthly hope, God's mercies are our greatest treasure here far surpassing any earthly crowns or accomplishments on this Earthly journey. We need to remember that! If you feel you have been cancelled, ignored, let down, or did not accomplish all you had hoped for  here on Earth or someone failed you or let you down, or hated on you, know that God never will and His mercy is so much greater than any crown or achievement we can attain here on this Earth School! His mercy and graces are all we really need. To then follow Jesus, to reflect, imitate, and love like Him as we go about this journey knowing that we are promised life eternal in Heaven with Jesus when we follow Him! We need to put all our hope in Jesus and Heaven as we go about on this Earth School journey! That is what matters most! Jesus wore a crown of thorns, He was taunted and hated, then murdered, He was innocent and all feared His power, so they tested Him and killed Him. The same people today, do that to all of us, we need to know that God's mercies and graces can help us to overcome all, we need to turn from sin and love all others always, no Earthly crown or achievement is as important as life eternal in Heaven with Jesus! I know one of my last pursuits after I retired was to get Professor Emeritus, but who knows what will happen. A professor colleague of mine did nominate me, but the last few years I witnessed a lot of hate, cancel culture, wokeness, racism, and division in my workplace, some even saying it was their goal to dismantle white privilege. So I will leave that all up to God to decide if I am recognized with that or not, for now, I am focusing on life eternal in Heaven with Jesus as that is my real crown to be in Heaven with Jesus more than anything else that is here Earthly!  Yes, God's mercies are our greatest treasures, far surpassing earthly crowns! I am so blessed to have God in my life!
