Hope: A prayer for beyond what I can do!

 

Lord Jesus, There is much in this world beyond what I can remedy, And so I come to You in prayer: For peace where there is war And for peacemakers; For the hungry and homeless And those who provide what they can; For the abandoned and abused And for unsung heroes; For the dehumanized and demoralized And for the gentle-hearted who bring hope. Amen.

~ Heart of the Nation Prayer of the Day for August 21, 2025: Beyond What I Can Do

I liked this simple prayer today that was on the Heart of the Nation Prayer of the Day website. Simple, but so profound! God gives us hope! We see and live in a broken world. It is easy to get depressed, to be torn down by problems and people of this world. By Satan and those who have become his slaves being hateful and doing evil and divisive things. I know I am for sure down on our government and elected. We just see so much greed, corruption, fraud, selfishness, and mediocrity, a lot from our elected and powers that be. It is sad to see. Even from priests and people of the cloth disappoint, I know some of the TV preacher have hurt and disappointed me with their hate and ignorance. All we can do is pray, turn to God, follow Jesus, and know He gives us hope and peace. So often so much of this world is beyond what we can do to handle it. We need God! We need to accept His will be done, turn all over to Him, and know having great faith that things will turn out just fine. We will be at peace. Mostly always things do work out when we put our trust in the Lord. It is all about hope and faith in Him! Prayer helps so much with all, and praying for others. Counting our blessing make us not fall into self pity. We need to remain loving, positive, and joyful in the Lord. When we do, when we turn it all over to Him with faith and hope, we can live happy, healthy, and peace-filled lives! Just pray to God!
