Pray that we all may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, that we may walk in a way that pleases the Lord, that we may bear fruit in every good work, and that we may grow in their knowledge of God and be strengthened with patience and joy!

 

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

We need to all pray that we all may be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, that we may walk in a way that pleases the Lord, that we may bear fruit in every good work, and that we may grow in their knowledge of God and be strengthened with patience and joy! When we pray and for others, we should not pray to God for things of this world, material good or health, instead for the wisdom of God and His will be done who knows what is best for us!

These are fine blessings to ask for, but they aren’t the most important. Paul, in praying for his friends, asks for the greatest blessings. We need to pray that God blesses others and the world with His wisdom and His will be done, to do all pleasing to Him, bearing much good fruit. I liked this message today from the Mornings with God App, it was really a good reminder for all of us when we pray. To pray that God gives us His wisdom. To accept His will be done. To do all in our lives that is pleasing to Him, bearing much good fruit for each other. Sometimes we become too consumed by things of this world. Gold, money, titles, power, health, all these things are not as important as following Jesus, reflecting, imitating, loving, and forgiving like Him! To work toward getting into Heaven to spend life eternal with Jesus! We do not have to worry, like the birds, they are taken care of, we need to know our Father is taking care of us. We need to trust His wisdom and will be done in our lives, which can give us great peace when we do!
