Indifference is a sickness, it is the poison of our times! I read in a book by Archbishop Fulton Sheen that he was saying that indifference is worse than hate. When people do not stand up to what is wrong. We see this today in our society a lot. I know I have seen and experienced it a lot, the indifference toward me and my spouse when we go to church or out in public. The indifference from the old priest from our old church when we see him at the gym and he still ignores us, he is just so indifferent. Even when family or friends are this way, when you text them to say happy birthday or how are you, they ignore you or avoid you, they cannot even take a minute to respond back or say thank you. Yes, indifference is a sickness, it is the poison of our times. Indifference is even worse than hatred like Bishop Sheen speaks about. It is so sad to see all the hate today, all the indifference toward people. If someone does not agree with you, they just cancel you, they dismiss you and mistreat or ignore or avoid you. There is no dialogue today, it is just cancel, dismiss, avoid, ignore, hate, and mistreat. Is this healthy for our society? What must our Lord think?  We see so many today without God! They are without a soul or sick. Hurting, in pain, without Jesus in their hearts! Remember with Jesus we are called to follow Him, to forgive, to love, imitate, and reflect Him, not show hate or indifference, but show love, mercy, and sympathy. Have you checked your disposition today? Are you indifferent at all about anything or toward someone? Have you mistreated or cancelled anyone? Have you been indifferent? Do you need help with your indifference?
