Today we see so much hate, judgement, and hypocrisy, even from people who say they are Christians, but that is not Christian-like behavior. The church is broken for sure, we are all called to be more like Jesus! My spouse and I go to church each week. We were both raised Catholic and love our faith. Yet we are challenged all the time by so many at our church or what the priest often calls our faith family, to see so much hate, judgement, and hypocrisy from many of the parishioners at our church toward us. We see a lot of hate, subtle glances, smirks, ignorance, and outright judgement projected as hate toward us. Why are so many in churches such hypocrites? They act just like the Pharisees of the times of Jesus, they hated Jesus enough to have Him murdered, someone recently did that to Charlie Kirk. We feel the same with all the nasty glances, smirks, and ignoring and poor behavior directed toward us at our church. We really are all sinners. Ironically, it is often from the ones who help out at the church, the alter servers, the ushers, the welcome members,  the deacons. We even had a priest at our old church who we would see outside of church or at the local gym and he would just ignore us, avoid us, have nothing to do with us, not even look at us in passing. The oddest thing from a priest. We switched churches to one closer to our home. The new priest was older and more welcoming, but most others there too were stand-off-ish and not very Christ-like. We see and have experienced so much hate and judgement, we feel it for sure. Even my spouse who worked at a school, had to endure a lot of bullying from a teen who went to our church who taunted him so much at work, a real bully while his parents act so holy and upright. The father laughs at us and has smirks towards us, it is hard for us. We have seen and experienced it all at church over the years. We have endured all the hate, judgement, critics, and taunting, all the nasty glances and smirks. It is not easy at all, especially to see the hypocrisy from people who say they are Christians and try to act so holy. Most of the  people today that go to church are not like Jesus, they hate, they judge, they criticize, assume, and are not at all as welcoming as Christ would ask them to be. They are not at all like Jesus! We are called to love them anyway, to love, forgive, and imitate and reflect Jesus, even when the ones who think they are above all and most holy never really behave like Jesus. On Friday I saw a lady I know from church in a store, she was approaching me in passing, she looked, but said nothing, but I said good morning, I want to be like Jesus, even though she would prefer I did not even exist or wasn't there to put her in a situation to acknowledge me. It takes real courage to be like Jesus, to love like Jesus, to reflect and imitate Him! But we are all called to be like Jesus as true Christians! I want to love like Jesus although I do not see many at church who really practice what they preach!

We really are all sinners!
