- John 1:14
God took on human form, as Jesus, He came to this Earth as a human to be with us. God with us, Emmanuel! God wants to know us. He even subjected Himself to death, killed, murdered for no reason, He was sinless and innocent, yet they wanted Him dead, they feared Him. What is beautiful about all of this is He came in human form, to us humans He loved. Jesus' gentleness, patience, selflessness, and kindness, we are witnessing God’s character revealed in human form. We as humans need to turn all over to God, follow Jesus, not things of this world. This night and birth in Bethlehem was and is the most important moment for humans. We today are so consumed with things of this world, news, politics, philosophy, and religion. The hope in our world is not these things, it is in Jesus, our God with us, our Emmanuel Who died for our sins, Who loves us so much, His mercy, forgiveness, and grace are far greater than anything else in this world that we can expect. It is all about having Christ form in you, living your life like Jesus, being like Him the best we can, reflecting, forgiving, imitating, and loving like Him!
The Mornings With God App today said, "The most extraordinary event in human history was when God took on human form and came to live among us. The “Word” was with God from eternity, and then, in time, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. This is what happened on that quiet night in Bethlehem when Jesus was born. His life on earth for thirty-three years was nothing short of amazing. Jesus Himself explained it when He said, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father.” As we read about His gentleness, patience, selflessness, and kindness, we are witnessing God’s character revealed in human form. Without the incarnation, we could never fully understand the nature of the invisible God. But because He came down to live among us, we now know how approachable, loving, and merciful He is, and how eager He is to help us. The Christ we see in the Gospels is the God with whom we have a relationship." Found at: https://www.youdevotion.com/mornings/october/23
We need to remember that without the incarnation, we could never fully understand the nature of the invisible God. But because He came down to live among us, we now know how approachable, loving, forgiving, and merciful He is, how much grace He offers to us, and how eager He is to help us. We are blessed! The birth of Jesus is the miracle of all of life, far greater than any science research finding. So far above religion, politics, and philosophy, the fact that God came to us this way is mind blowing, so many just do not understand the real meaning of this and what He offers us all by doing what He did! He did it because all lives matter to Him! Lord, help us all to truly live like Christians like the example of Jesus you gave us when you came in this human image for us! It is all about loving like Jesus! God is love!
