Today's lawlessness and sin in some states and cities is like that of Nineveh, do you think all these sinners will repent?

 

The word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time:

"Set out for the great city of Nineveh,

and announce to it the message that I will tell you."

So Jonah made ready and went to Nineveh,

according to the LORD's bidding.

Now Nineveh was an enormously large city;

it took three days to go through it.

Jonah began his journey through the city,

and had gone but a single day's walk announcing,

"Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed,"

when the people of Nineveh believed God;

they proclaimed a fast and all of them, great and small,

put on sackcloth.

When the news reached the king of Nineveh,

he rose from his throne, laid aside his robe,

covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in the ashes.

Then he had this proclaimed throughout Nineveh,

by decree of the king and his nobles:

"Neither man nor beast, neither cattle nor sheep,

shall taste anything;

they shall not eat, nor shall they drink water.

Man and beast shall be covered with sackcloth

and call loudly to God;

every man shall turn from his evil way

and from the violence he has in hand.

Who knows, God may relent and forgive,

and withhold his blazing wrath,

so that we shall not perish."

When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way,

he repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to them;

he did not carry it out.

~Jonah 3:1-10

Blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.

Today's lawlessness and sin in some states and cities is like that of Nineveh, do you think all these sinners will repent? It is sad to see what is going on in Portland, Oregon and Chicago, Illinois today, all the lawlessness and sin, the killings and now attacking the poor ICE Officers who are trying to just do their job and enforce the laws. It is sad so many make so many excuses for sin, especially the elected governors, mayors, they pathetic elected, they try to justify all their violence using social justice as their premise, our country and world needs law and order to function well. Some think it is fine to use violence and protesting, to go against our laws and law enforcement. It is so sad to see. So many sin and sin, when will God strike down these cities of sin? How long can they go on doing so much evil and promoting so much lawlessness? I keep praying for people to turn from sin and evil. They make so many excuses for it all, try to justify it and make light of it and act like it is fine to use violence toward our police and law enforcement, to sin, to kill babies, to steal, lie, cheat, commit fraud, just so many are sinning today, abusing drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, etc., being selfish, greedy, and corrupt. Even some billionaires use their money to promote this lawlessness, maybe they are the big narco drug dealers? It is all so sad to see. They think it is fine for illegal immigrants to pour into countries and break the law. The liberal left lunatic demoncrats use the term social justice to justify all this lawlessness and sin. Some are such slaves for Satan, promoting so much sin and lawlessness.  They use race, gender identity, sex,  etc. to divide a society, to promote sin, even to promote abortion and killing babies. It is all so sick. Someone has to have a moral compass, be conservative, to know Jesus and call them out on all this sin. God sent Jonah to Nineveh to ask them to convert, to change their evil ways, to turn from sin. I pray all sinners and lawless lawbreakers will change their ways, will find Jesus, to try to reflect, imitate, forgive, and love like Him, Jesus was sent to tell us to repent to. He was an innocent man murdered, killed for all of us and our sins. We need to change our ways folks in this country and world. Like in the times of Jonah in Nineveh, we are called to repent, to convert, to turn to God, observe His laws,  be upright and holy, be like Jesus!
