Are we in the end times? Are many humans living as lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, craving a form of godliness but denying its power?

 

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 craving a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Are we in the end times? Are many humans living as lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, craving a form of godliness but denying its power? Today on the Key of David TV Show they were talking about these Bible verses. They were talking about the conditions of our world. How so many countries are thinking about using and testing nuclear arms and being prepared for war. How sad! I have not read or thought about this Bible verses for a long time, but they are very profound. It does make you wonder and think we are in the end times now, they seem very perilous for sure. We see so much greed, corruption, fraud, violence, hate, sin, mediocrity, and so much bad especially from our elected, powers that be, and governments today with all their censorship, control, and lack of God in them. Do they have the knowledge of the truth? It doesn't seem like it the way they behave and all that is happening today. All we can do is trust in the Lord. Turn to God, follow Jesus, follow Him, and do our best to imitate and love like Him! We live in a broken world for sure! People today care more about things of this world, material goods, money, power,  lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, craving a form of godliness but denying God and His power! This is concerning for sure! God is in control! God works miracle today too! We need to be open to always learning, always following Jesus! While so many are seduced by things of this world, be careful not to deny God. To be lovers of pleasure and things of this world over God and His son who we are called to follow, reflect, forgive like, imitate and love like!
