We all need to watch our mouths, our tongues can be hurtful, our words mean, leaving us with guilt and God conscience, so be careful what you say!

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

 – Ephesians 4:29

“The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.”

 – Proverbs 15:4

“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”

– Colossians 4:6

“Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.”

– Psalm 141:3

“Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.”

– Proverbs 16:24

We all need to watch our mouths, our tongues can be hurtful, our words mean, leaving us with guilt and God conscience, so be careful what you say to others! I agree with all these Bible verses above. We are all guilty of saying mean and hurtful things. The tongue can be a real weapon of hate and mean spiritedness. We all need to watch out for what we say to others. Thankfully we have God in us, our conscience, that helps us, or reminds us when we do or say something wrong. We need to ask for forgiveness and pardon. Saying mean or hurtful things to others is not nice. If we do, hopefully we have God in us to know we did something wrong. I know I do. I am guilty of speaking to someone wrongly, I ask all for forgiveness and pardon, God too. It helps me grow to stop and not do this. We are not the just judge and jury, it is not our place to judge or speak out toward others, even if they may be selfish or doing something wrong. Love them anyway, stay silent, pray for them, and watch out speaking in a nasty or evil way. It will only make you look bad. So be careful. All these Bible verses above are great reminders for all of us to follow! We need to watch our words!  I know I said something to a lady this week about how she drove and parked, and then regretted it. In the past I corrected someone from work after she used an incorrect word when she was speaking, and I felt bad as she was offended. We have all said things to others we have regretted. I am guilty of it for sure. We are all human, but it doesn't make it right and we need to either say things with love and kindness or not say anything at all if it is going to be hurtful or offensive. Yes, we all need to watch our mouths, our tongues can be hurtful, our words mean, leaving us with guilt and God conscience, so be careful what you say!
