Are you willing to work for Jesus in His Kingdom?
As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
- Matt 4:18
Jesus needs you! Yes, you, you do not have to be perfect. Just use the deck that God gave you to the best of your ability. Like it says below in the Mornings with God App, Jesus is still looking for people to work with Him in His kingdom, and He often chooses those who are not wise by worldly standards but are humble, willing, and open-hearted. God found a king in young David, who was tending sheep, and a prophet in Elisha, who was plowing in the fields. We do not need to be perfect to be used by God! He needs you now, to help Him do His will! To bring people to the Father by following Jesus, that is what we need to do.
The Mornings With God App said, "Jesus sought disciples who could be shaped and influenced for His kingdom, and it’s interesting to note that He found them among those who were already busy in their daily work. He didn’t call the idle but those who were diligent in their common tasks. Jesus is still looking for people to work with Him in His kingdom, and He often chooses those who are not wise by worldly standards but are humble, willing, and open-hearted. God found a king in young David, who was tending sheep, and a prophet in Elisha, who was plowing in the fields. Those who want to be used by Christ should strive to be ready—busy with their current duties, open to truth, and eager for any service He may call them to." God has used me in my entire life to do His will and bring people to Him! My mother always said that I should be a priest, as she thought I was always so preachy. I think she would have liked that, but I didn't and got married and still maintain my faith and following of Jesus. I know when I talk about God, the Bible, Jesus, or religion it turns a lot of people off. Many never want to hear it. They judge and cancel you, treat you like you are a Jesus freak, which I am proud of. I was lucky to be raised Catholic, taught by nuns, go to church, and even work as a teacher for a year in a Catholic school. I have always felt God calling me. He got me through college, through many hardships, much difficulty. He has also brought me a lot of peace, the past few years a lot which I am grateful. I know I am imperfect. I am not in the norm, but I do know God is using me, through this blog, in my church, and my daily life, I am trying to make a difference, bring people to know Jesus, to follow Him, to reflect, forgive, imitate, and love like Him! Do you want to work for Jesus?
