St. John said that our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ that our joy may be complete in them!

 

Beloved:

What was from the beginning,

what we have heard,

what we have seen with our eyes,

what we looked upon

and touched with our hands

concerns the Word of life —

for the life was made visible;

we have seen it and testify to it

and proclaim to you the eternal life

that was with the Father and was made visible to us—

what we have seen and heard

we proclaim now to you,

so that you too may have fellowship with us;

for our fellowship is with the Father

and with his Son, Jesus Christ.

We are writing this so that our joy may be complete.

St. John said that our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ that our joy may be complete in them!  I love St. John! He always stood by Jesus, always! He even promised to take care of Mary, the Mother of Jesus when Jesus was murdered/crucified. St. John wrote  several books in the Bible, even Revelation. He knew the future and the return of the Lord. He knows that when we follow Christ in fellowship, following, reflecting, forgiving, imitating, and loving like Him, we are promised like eternal in Heaven with Jesus, this is the completeness John talks about when we have such fellowship in Christ! Today the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of St. John, Apostle and Evangelist, he should be held in high esteem, He loved Jesus so much and always stood by Him! He even took care of Mary in her old age. He cared, he loved, and he reflected Jesus! Be full of joy in the Lord always! May we be made complete in Christ!
